Nintendo announced the release of Nintendo TVii today in New York. Nintendo TVii will allow users to watch movies, sports and television through your Wii U. Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Instant have been confirmed to work with NintendoTVii. Also available are popular social media services such as Twitter, and Facebook.
The Wii U GamePad can be used to control the content on your screen and allow you to keep up on what your friends are doing. Live sports events will allow you to interact with your friends such as taking a poll or chatting.
Nintendo TVii will be free to use and come packaged with every Wii U. Although, some content such as Netflix will require a subscriptions. Nintendo TVii will only be available in the United States and Canada at the moment. A specific launch date has not been provided for NintendoTVii.
